Originally from the Kansas City area, Dr. Chandra earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Dartmouth Health in New Hampshire. She also completed her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Dartmouth Health where she served as a chief fellow.

She is board certified in Internal Medicine and has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) and lifestyle medicine. She provides GI consultative care and endoscopic services including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy at Midwest GI Health. She is passionate about patient-centered care and patient education.

A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse (RN) who has advanced education and clinical training in a health care specialty area. They are recognized as expert health care providers.

  • APRN – Adanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Board Certified – Certification as a Clinical Specialist by the American Nurse Credentialing Center
  • FNP–Familyt Nurse Practitioner

  • Diagnose and treat acute health problems.
  • Diagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments.
  • Treat and perform procedures to reduce hemorrhoids.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, such as lab work and x-rays.
  • Promote positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling.
  • Collaborate with our physicians and other healthcare professionals, as needed.
  • Explain the details of health problems, medications and other topics, to help our patients fully understand how to take care of themselves.
  • Emphasize wellness and self-care by giving our patients the information they need to make healthy lifestyle choices and health care decisions.
