Dr. Marc Taormina has a thorough understanding of both normal and abnormal physiology concerning the gastrointestinal tract. He specializes in the analysis of intestinal mobility, digestion, absorption of nutrients, removal of wastes, and overall metabolic processes. 

Licensed in the states of Missouri and Kansas, Dr. Taormina is Double Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Taormina is a native of Kansas City and is active in teaching, clinical research, and philanthropy. His special interests in esophageal disease, colon cancer screening, non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment, and inflammatory bowel disease. He is a board member of Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts since 2019 and is the Medical Director at Midwest Physicians Surgery Center.
